We purchased this 1980 Mercedes-Benz 300CD out of California due to the Condition. Cosmetically it is in Excellent condition for its age. It also just had recent Brake Work as well as Fuel System Work. This Mercedes 300CD has over 29 Physical Service Receipts as well as all of the Original Mercedes Books. The 3.0L 5-Cylinder non-turbo OM617 Diesel engine runs well and the transmission shifts strong. Inside, the Palomino MB-Tex Vinyl is in great condition with no tears or noticeable sagging. On top of the dash there are a few visible cracks although the wood trim is glossy and intact. Due to the age there is some electronics that are not currently working including; The Radio is Inoperable, Sunroof is Inoperable, Odometer Inoperable, HVAC Inoperable. The undercarriage is in great condition since it is a California car. The is 1 dot of rust on the center of the hood, the rest of the body and the paint are in very, very good condition. It starts and runs very well, you can tell the car has been taken care of mechanically. The transmission and engine both run strong with shifts taking place as they are supposed and throttle response as slow as the diesel may be, is sound. The car will need some work mechanically, cosmetically it is in really good condition.
