The Ram Heavy Duty is the 5th Generation of the Ram Pickup Truck. A series of Heavy-Duty Pickup Trucks produced by Ram Trucks division of Stellantis. Slotted above the Ram 1500, the Heavy Duty trucks range from the Ram 2500 to the Ram 5500. The Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 are offered as pickup trucks while the Ram 3500 thorough Ram 500 are offered as chassis cabs. The Tradesman trim level is the most basic trim level with Halogen Headlamps, Incandescent Tail Lamps, A Black Plastic Grille, and Vinyl or Cloth Seats. The Off-Road Oriented trim level is the Power Wagon which is only available on the 2500 Model. The Truck is equipped with standard electronic locking front and rear differentials, Four-Wheel Drive, Skid Plates, A Winch and Off-Road Suspension. The Name "Power Wagon" refers to the first Dodge Power Wagon Trucks that were produced in 1946. The Power Wagon comes standard with the 6.4L Hemi but they have replaced the standard automatic 6-Speed with a ZF8HP75 eight-speed automatic which transforms the Power Wagon. This means better drivability, better towing, and a smoother launch. We like the Tradesman due to its Plain Jane appeal but equipped with the Power Wagon Package which includes; 4.10 Axle Ratio, Tru-Lok Front/Rear Axles, Ram Articulink Suspension, Front/Rear Tuned Shock Absorbers, Front Disconnecting Stabilizer Bar and Front Electric Winch. We have become huge fans of the Power Wagon Package due to the Equipment it includes along with the price point for entry price. We received this 2024 Ram from a long time customer of ours who's vehicles have a bit of a following. We have coined the term "The Roby Effect" for his vehicles due to the optional equipment and modifications. This Roby Rig is a 2024 Ram 2500 Crew Cab Tradesman that we think is the Goldilocks offering from the Ram Lineup. This Ram 2500 is a full size truck that has the capability of a Jeep Rubicon due to the Power Wagon Package. This Tradesman had an MSRP of $68.1k with over $15k in Options including; Power Wagon Package, Convenience Group, Uconnect 5 NAV w/12 Inch Touch Screen Display, Blind-Spot w/Tag Trailer, Cross-Path Detection, Trailer Brake Control, Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
